The City of Bellevue is looking for community members to participate in paid online focus groups or interviews about how to improve the bicycle network in the city's urban core — including Downtown, Wilburton and BelRed.

New Redmond Technology Station garage open for parking

From Sound Transit: Sound Transit opened the new parking garage at the Redmond Technology Station to serve transit riders, pedestrians, and bicyclists as well as future Link light rail passengers. The new garage contains 300 parking stalls and covered facilities for 44 bicycles.

From Sound Transit: Sound Transit's 2 Line is entering the next phase of testing, known as "pre-revenue service," which is scheduled to start as early as Nov. 1. During this phase, trains will be actively crossing at-grade level crossings on an ongoing basis as part of the testing process.

Portion of Lakemont Blvd. to close for 8 months

Drivers traveling Lakemont Boulevard in south Bellevue will encounter a detour starting as early as Tuesday, Oct. 24. The street is expected to be closed for eight months between Forest Drive and 155th Avenue for emergency construction of a bridge over Coal Creek. The detour will direct drivers along Forest Drive Southeast to Coal Creek Parkway, then connect to Newcastle Golf Club Road.
Weigh in on vision statements for draft Comprehensive Plan

After 18 months of outreach, during which more than 5,000 people who live, work and/or play in Bellevue shared their thoughts on the future of the city, planners are drafting an update of the Comprehensive Plan, known as Bellevue 2044, that will guide how the city grows over the next 20 years.
