Bellevue Traffic Advisories July 31

Ongoing: Construction has begun at the Bellevue Transit Center to retrofit the facility to accommodate Sound Transit's Stride double-decker, battery electric buses. Construction is expected to last through February 2027.  Stride construction will not affect the 2 Line.

Aug. 2-3: Eastbound I-90 offramp to 142nd Place SE will be closed 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, with a signed detour in place for work on the I-90 Sunset Creek - Fish Passage. More information on project webpage

Aug.3: SE 36th Street will be reduced to single-lane, alternating traffic managed by a temporary signal between 142nd Avenue NE and 146th Avenue NE. The temporary signal will be in place 24/7 for approximately one year during construction of Phase 3 of the Mountain to Sound Greenway Trail. Aug. 3-4: Full southbound I-405 closure from NE 8th Street to I-90 for nighttime work on the I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lane Project. More information on the project webpage.

Aug. 4-6 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., full closure of NE 2nd Street and 112th Avenue NE for a tower crane installation.
