Metro Transit Alert - Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel disruptions: Service alternatives available during repairs

From King County Metro: Damage to the ceiling of the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel (DSTT) at Westlake Station is disrupting Sound Transit Link 1 Line service until further notice. Riders should prepare for additional travel times as trains are operating every 15-20 minutes in the DSTT.

Link 1 Line transfer at Pioneer Square Station:

Link 1 Line service is operating every 15-20 minutes between Northgate Station and Pioneer Square Station, and between Angle Lake Station and Pioneer Square Station. Riders continuing beyond Pioneer Square in either direction will need to transfer between trains. Trains will hold 3 to 5 minutes for passengers to complete the transfer at Pioneer Square Station.

Bus alternatives if needed:

Metro and Sound Transit offer alternative bus options to travel to and from downtown Seattle or between Link light rail stations.

Bus service between Stadium and Westlake stations:
Routes 101, 102, 150, and Sound Transit Express Routes 590, 594 via the SODO Busway/Fourth Avenue to downtown Seattle;
5 min walk/roll from station: routes 5, 24, 28, 33, 131, 132 to downtown Seattle via Third Avenue to reach the Seattle monorail (and then to Climate Pledge Arena);
5 min walk/roll from station: route 124 to downtown Seattle via Third Avenue; 545 downtown Seattle via Fourth Avenue.

Bus service to and from Capitol Hill Station:
Route 60 between Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill stations (runs every 10 min);
Routes 10, 11 and 49 connect Capitol Hill Station and downtown Seattle, including the Seattle Monorail at Westlake Station to access Climate Pledge Arena;
First Hill Streetcar connects Capitol Hill to the International District Station and the Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Bus options that bypass the DSTT:
Sound Transit Express route 545 connects passengers between Westlake and International District Station.

Bus routes between Mount Baker and Beacon Hill stations and downtown Seattle:
Route 36 travels between downtown Seattle and Sound Transit's Beacon Hill Station, serving riders traveling to and from Angle Lake;
Route 7, which stops below Mount Baker Station on Rainier Avenue, where you can board Link 1 Line southbound to Angle Lake;
Route 14 stops at Metro's Mount Baker Transit Center, which is 5 minutes walk / roll west from Sound Transit's Mount Baker Station.

Traveling North-South from Capitol Hill Station:
Route 60 connects between Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill Station.

Traveling North-South from Mount Baker Station:
Route 48 -
travels north from Metro's Mount Baker Transit Center through the Central District to Sound Transit's Husky Stadium Station, serving riders traveling to and from Northgate Station;
travels south from Husky Stadium Station to Mount Baker Transit Center, which is 5 minutes walk west from Sound Transit's Mount Baker Station serving riders traveling to and from Angle Lake station.
