The Commuter Connection store is just one component of the City’s Connect Downtown plan aimed at relieving congestion. It is funded with local and federal funds and offered in partnership with TransManage, the transportation service of the Bellevue Downtown Association. Thanks to this partnership, commuters have improved access to resources and knowledgeable staff.
Storefront Information and Hours
The Commuter Connection Store is located in the Rider Services Building at the Bellevue Transit Center. TransManage staff are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (winter hours) for planning trips by bus, carpool, vanpool or bike. Downtown Bellevue employees and residents can stop in to pick up a new blank ORCA card (adult fare card only), pick up travel information and learn about incentives for commuters who choose not to drive alone. Employers can visit and learn about adding commute benefits to their overall benefits program for employees.
Benefits for Bicyclists
Throughout the year Commuter Connection will be offering Free Minor Bicycle Repair Days to the public. Free services include bicycle repairs such as flat tire repair and minor brake adjustments. First-come, first-served. Free repair service covers minor on-the-spot repairs only. Does not include parts or overhauls. For more information on specific dates, visit the Events Calendar.
Bicycle Parking Memberships:
With secure, indoor parking for 27 bicycles, as well as wire mesh lockers for storing gear, cyclists will find it easier than ever before to connect with transit in Downtown Bellevue. Anyone can register for a keycard membership that offers 24/7 access to the secure bicycle parking area. Membership is $50 for a six-month term, plus a $10 refundable deposit. Let us give your bike some TLC while you work so you won’t miss any time on the road. Professional repairs and tune-ups are available on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., October-March. Just drop your bike off from 8:30-10 a.m. and we’ll have it ready for your ride home the same day. Look for expanded hours of operation April-September.
